Hung, maintained, and taken down

Christmas Lights in St. Paul & Minneapolis

We design it, put it up before the cold sets in, keep it lit all season, and take it down in January.

The Whole Season, Not Just the Hanging

The hanging is the easy part. What makes it worth paying for is that it stays lit, and that somebody else is up the ladder in January.

  • A walk-through and a plan for the roofline, trees, and entry
  • Commercial-grade lights and clips, or we hang the ones you already own
  • Every clip fitted to the shingle or gutter, never stapled or nailed
  • Timers set so it comes on at dusk without you thinking about it
  • One call and we come fix anything that goes dark mid-season
  • Taken down in January, coiled, labelled, and put away for next year

The same crew, in a different season

We spend the summer on ladders around the top edge of your house, cleaning the windows and clearing the gutters. Hanging lights off that same roofline in October is the same work in a different month, and we already know where your house is awkward.

Priced per property after a free walk-through, with the take-down included in the number.

Why People Stop Doing It Themselves

It is rarely the hanging. It is everything after.

Nobody on a ladder in December

Roof edges in Minnesota are icy from November on, and a fall off one is the kind of thing that changes a year. We are up ladders every week of the summer as it is.

It stays lit

Half a strand going dark two days before the party is what makes people give up on lights. A dark section is a phone call, and we come out.

January is handled

Taking them down is the part everyone forgets when they say yes in November. It is in the price, and your lights come back labelled instead of knotted in a tub.

How the Season Runs

Book early. The calendar closes before the snow does.

Book in September or October

The calendar fills before the first snow, and the best installs happen on a dry roof in mild weather.

We hang it before Thanksgiving

Up early, switched on whenever you like. Most people want it dark until the day after Thanksgiving, and a timer handles that.

Down in January

We come back once the season is over, take it all down, and store it labelled so next year is faster and cheaper.

Most people have us clean the windows and clear the gutters on the same visit, since we are already up there, and book snow removal for the months in between.

Christmas Light Questions

Do I buy the lights or do you?

Either way. We can supply commercial-grade lights cut to fit your house, which is what most people end up doing, or we will hang the boxes you already have. If they are yours and half the strand is dead, we will tell you before we hang it rather than after.

When should I book?

September or October. Installs run from about mid-October through November, and once the roof ices up the good spots are gone. Waiting until December usually means waiting until next year.

What if a section goes out?

Call us and we come fix it. A dark stretch halfway through December is the whole reason people stop bothering with lights, so it is part of the job and not an extra.

Will the clips damage my roof or gutters?

No. Everything is hung on clips made for shingles and gutters, sized to what your house actually has. Nothing gets stapled, nailed, or screwed into the house.

Do you take them down too?

Yes, in January, and it is included. We coil and label everything so it goes back up faster next season.

What does it cost?

It depends on how much roofline you want lit, how high it is, and whether the lights are yours or ours, so we price it after a free look at the house. Ask for a free Christmas light quote. You do not pay until it is up and lit.
